Chef Osvalde Silva

Osvalde was born in 1976, in the German city of Dusseldorf, returning to Portugal with his family by the end of the 80’s, where he found his passion for cooking. Graduated from the Hospitality School of the Algarve, Osvalde started his career as Chef in Vila Vita Parc, where he remained for 5 years. After this experience, he was invited to join the Michelin-starred Ermitage restaurant, as Sous-Chef.

Having passed by several 5 star hotels throughout the Algarve, Osvalde was invited to join the kitchen of Convento do Espinheiro, in Évora, as Sous-Chef a position that he immediately accepted, being subsequently promoted to Head Chef.

In 2013, Osvalde joined Starwood hotel chain as Head Chef of Sheraton Algarve & Pine Cliffs Resort.

In December 2015 Osvalde joined Conrad Algarve, bringing to the resort and Louro restaurant the essence of the rich Portuguese culinary heritage, working only with local and seasonal products to create state-of-the art menus, reflecting the genuine Portuguese flavours within a fresh and contemporary approach.
