Chef Diogo Pereira

Once upon a time a proud Algarvian, passionate about the origin of things, wanted to be a famous archaeologist. One day he fell madly in love with the scents and flavors of the world and became an inspired Chef.

This could be the story of Diogo Pereira, Executive Chef at Cascade Wellness & Lifestyle Resort. But this story unfolds in several chapters, all of which are decisive to create Chef Diogo’s local-inspired international cuisine.

After completing his cooking and pastry degree at the School of Hospitality and Tourism of the Algarve, Diogo Pereira headed to several internships at national and international hotels. He began his professional career as a Sous Chef at 9 IRON Restaurant followed by several experiences in restaurants and hotel chains in the Algarve.

In 2007 he is called for the Portuguese Football Federation for the national team of Under-21 football, not for his soccer skills, but to coordinate and supervise the entire team nutrition. After several years as trainer in the School of Hospitality and Tourism of the Algarve and an experience as a Consultant Chef in Venezuela e return to the heart of the Algarve in 2013 as Executive Sous Chef at the Sheraton Pine Cliffs before embarking on the challenge of leading the kitchen of Cascade Wellness & Lifestyle Resort in 2016.
